Frequently asked questions

Where and how is René Habie jewelry made? 

Our jewelry is handmade in Antigua, Guatemala. Nestled between three volcanoes, Antigua is a magical little town with cobblestoned streets and houses painted in all colors of the rainbow. 

We work with one shop that has been perfecting its techniques for over forty years. All of our pieces are handcrafted by expert artisans using quality materials. 

How do you ship? 

We offer free standard shipping through USPS on all US orders.  

How long does shipping take? 

Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive your order.

All of our jewelry is bespoke and handcrafted. The made-to-order model supports artisans and their processes by allowing us to work on a human scale with people we know by name. This approach also allows us to tailor rings to your exact size, making every piece truly yours. 

Where do you ship to? 

We currently ship to the US and Canada. Costs for Canada are calculated at shipping. However, no matter where you live we can figure something out. Please email us at with subject line International Shipping if you'd like to receive an order outside of our current shipping zones. We'll get back to you with a quote. Duties and taxes are not included in the total for international purchases. It is the recipient's responsibility to cover any import fees that may be incurred by local customs agencies. 

Can you make custom sizes in your rings? 

Why, of course!!! Email us at with subject line Custom Order. Please note that custom orders have a lead time of 2-3 weeks from date of purchase and in some cases may incur a small fee.

What is your return policy?

We hope that you'll love your order, but we do accept returns within 10 days of receiving your purchase. Items must be in unused condition with original packaging. We reserve the right to deny unreasonable returns.

To return your purchase, please send us an email at with the subject line Return and your order number. Once your items have been received and the return authorized, we will reimburse the full amount in the original form of payment.

Please note that return shipping charges cannot be refunded. We suggest insuring your package and using a shipping service that offers tracking as we cannot be responsible for lost return items.

What if my item is incorrect or damaged?

We try our best to make sure that your order is perfect, but mistakes do happen occasionally. Please e-mail us at and we'll take care of you. Please write incorrect as the subject line in your email and include a picture of the damaged or incorrect item. 

What is your repair policy?  

Our jewelry is handcrafted and should be enjoyed often and handled with care. If one of your pieces happens to break, please send a picture to with the subject line Repair. Please note that repairs can take up to 6 weeks from the date we receive the item. 

All repairs are free of charge.
